The BC Curriculum has been extremely helpful in guiding my understanding of what students need to learn while still allowing flexibility in how that learning is delivered. I appreciate how it clearly outlines big ideas, curricular competencies, and content, making it easier to plan meaningful and developmentally appropriate lessons. At the same time, it supports teacher creativity by encouraging educators to design lessons that reflect their students’ interests, needs, and local contexts. This balance between structure and flexibility allows me to create engaging, personalized learning experiences while still meeting important learning goals across different grade levels and subject areas.
