The Professional Standards for BC Educators highlight the importance of ethics, care, and responsibility in teaching, emphasizing that educators must support the success and well-being of all students. They reinforce that teachers are role models who must create safe, inclusive, and respectful learning environments while continuing to grow professionally.

To me, these standards show that teaching is more than delivering content; it is about building relationships, acting with integrity, and supporting the whole child. They provide a clear foundation for how I want to approach my future classroom and professional practice.
